SENTENCE STRUCTURE: TYPES OF SENTENCE
Hello everybody,

So, what do you think about my introduction? You must be thinking this guy is making no sense in the above introduction. But guess what! It can be a lot better using appropriate sentences. My topic talks about sentences.
Sentences are the base of any communication. Sentences help you to express your emotions. By definition, a sentence is a group of words put in order to give a meaningful result.
So moving ahead with that let us understand the different types of sentence structures.
Below are the types of sentence structures listed:
SIMPLE SENTENCE
COMPOUND SENTENCE
COMPLEX SENTENCE
COMPOUND - COMPLEX SENTENCE
Summary- So a simple sentence gives us a complete thought in simpler means.

Summary- Compound sentences are those sentences that are made by joining two independent clauses either using a comma or a conjunction.

Summary- Complex sentences can be formed by putting together an independent clause and a dependent clause.

Summary- Compound-complex sentences are longer than other sentences as they have one or more independent clause and more one or more dependent clause.

SIMPLE SENTENCE
Writing Simple sentences -
SENTENCES WITH ADJECTIVE( SUBJECT + BE + ADJECTIVE) -
In these type of sentences we use adjective to describe the subject of the sentence.
For e.g:
He is intelligent.
She is beautiful.
We are happy
COMPOUND SENTENCE
Writing Compound sentences -
To write a compound sentence we can use
Semi-colon for e.g: She loves me; she loves me not.
Using coordinating conjunction for e.g:
He couldn't go home, for he had no place to go.
COMPLEX SENTENCE
Writing Complex sentences -
In a complex sentence punctuation depends on the location of the subordinating conjunction.
If the subordinating conjunction comes at the middle or at the end of the sentence no comma is required for e.g:
School is not all about studying since there are lots of clubs and fun activities on campus.
If the subordinating conjunction comes at the beginning of sentence a comma comes at the end of the depending clause for e.g:
Even though I would rather go to the beach, I went to the library to study.
COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE
Writing Compound-Complex sentences -
Like the name a compound-complex sentence brings both of these sentence forms together.
Note that the dependent clause can be at the beginning, middle, or end of a compound-complex sentence still the punctuation follows the rules for both compound sentences and complex sentences i.e. you need to put a comma before the coordinating conjunction and, if applicable, another comma after the dependent clause when it occurs at the beginning of the sentence for e.g:
We won the game, but my uniform was muddy because it rained the entire time.
While I was sleeping, my daughter woke me up because she had a nightmare.
If we go deep into the topic we also will be able to learn the conversion simple, compound, complex and compound-complex sentences.
